INC grades will not be given, except in EXTREME emergencies. It is up to the student to bring proof, such as hospital bills, etc. Do not waste the entire semester and then beg for an INC, it will not be given. ``Student apparitions" will be given a grade of 'WU' as per the college policy

Email Policy

Students must place CS 12 in the subject line of every email written to the instructors in order to guarantee that it will be read. I personally receive too much junk and teach several other classes besides this one. I will not read emails that are not sent in this manner and will instead delete them. Also, please specify your name somewhere in the email so that I will know who you are. Here is an example of what NOT to do:

from: dr4gunF1r3@nowhere.com
to: Jamie Levy
subject: hey

Hey, wassup?!? I wuz wundrin if u got my grade yet?? If so, could
u plz send it to me?

It may seem exaggerated, but I've actually received emails like this in the past. I have no idea who the student is or which class s/he is attending. I'd rather just avoid tracking students and have implemented this policy to do so.

Cell Phones and Other Electronic Devices

I understand the need to keep in touch with loved ones, and that cell phones are the easiest way for others to keep track of us. However, I expect that all cell phones, pagers etc. will be inaudible during class. Any student with an electronic device that disrupts the class runs the risk of loosing points from his/her average (per occurrence). If an electronic device disrupts the class during an exam, the student will loose points from his/her exam.
